To remind people they are not alone when needing assistance.
The story of Rosalinda Cedillo:
Hi, I’m Rosalinda Cedillo, and I know what it’s like to be a single mother facing overwhelming challenges. Raising six children while battling serious health issues was never easy. There were days we didn’t have power, nights we relied on local churches for food or shelter, and moments when I had to choose between a doctor’s visit or putting food on the table. In 2003, I was diagnosed with Granuloma Sarcoidosis, and later, chronic kidney disease. I was terrified, exhausted, and often felt alone—but I kept going, for my children and for the future I still hoped to see. Dialysis became a part of my life—three days a week, four hours a day. I met others who were just as afraid, but what gave me strength was my family. They were my reason to fight, even on the hardest days. I share my story so you know: you are not alone. My hope for Valor Never Alone is that it becomes the support system for women like me—mothers doing their best, even when it feels like the world is too heavy. It’s okay to be scared. We’re here to help carry the weight with you.
Dr. Jacob Torres
Hi, I’m Jacob Torres, the second youngest son of my late mother, Rosalinda Torres. My mother’s love and selflessness shaped who I am today. Even in her final days, she was thinking of us. Her strength inspired me to earn three doctoral degrees and dedicate my life to helping people live well. My focus is on early health prevention and screenings.I’ll never forget my mom’s last words. She was scared, not ready to pass, but I told her she was already bringing light to the world through us. Mom, you are missed every day. Valor was born to support families like ours — those feeling scared, unsure, or defeated, and to give them courage.
You are never alone.
Our friendly team would love to hear from you.
